Monday to Friday (Daily Prayers)

8am Live Morning Prayer led by one of the staff team on Nidd Valley Facebook Page  (A printable copy from the Methodist Worship book is available on the Facebook page) At present it is on Monday, to Friday at 8.00 a.m. Live or later for the recorded.

Key points this week:

1.  Key Service: 3rd October: a celebration of the mission and ministry at Hampsthwaite. The circuit is invited to join them for refreshments at the Memorial Hall at 4.30pm and then to join them at 6 p.m. for a celebratory service


2.   Trinity Tots: We are recommencing our Mother and Toddler Group on Friday 24th September, 10 am - noon. We meet every Friday in term time at Trinity Methodist Church. Please come along and enjoy a COVID safe place for fun and fellowship. Entrance is £1 to include refreshments. We look forward to welcoming back the children and families after 18 months and look forward to meeting new friends.


3. .  Scotton Harvest celebration: the whole circuit is warmly invited to two events at Scotton: Sunday, 19th September at 6:30pm Harvest Celebration service. On Monday, 20th September at 7pm a short service, pie and pea supper and sale of produce.


4.   Historic Places of Worship: Make do and mend webinar: This is a free event to support people who look after all types of historic places of worship. It will also include tips on how to read quinquennial reports, funding advice, stitch-in-time projects and advice on developing effective websites and social media platforms. Too book please visit:

5. Kairos Movement: The group isn’t fully formed yet, as they intend to be shaped by those who join them, but they hope their six events will give people a chance to call in and see them for the first time. They’d particularly love it if those who seek to minister on the edge of church in the circuit might come and see what they are up to. The events are as follows. • Sun 19th – Late Lunch at The Larder Club – York 3-5pm

• Mon 20th – Visit ‘The Living Rooms’ – Northallerton – Sandwich Tea 7-8:30pm

• Tues 21st – Deep Talk with Lydia, at Hambleton Chapel, Goole – Soup Tea – 5-7pm

• Wed 22nd- Corn Close Care Farm 4-6pm, plus Music and Poetry 7:-8:30pm with Buffet Pateley Bridge

• Thurs 23rd – Visit Rooted in Hull, for an urban farm experience and pizza party – 5:30-8pm

• Fri 23rd – Meet Tom Clayton – Westborough Methodist in Scarborough and share a fish n chip supper 5:30-7:30pm
